MAGNET RECOGNITION: EXCELLENCE IN NURSING CARE

The Magnet Recognition Program affords important national recognition to health care organizations that demonstrate sustained excellence in nursing care. The Magnet Program is the highest level of recognition given for excellence in nursing service. Established in 1994 by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, this designation has been granted to over 180 health care organizations. New Jersey is proud to have 17 hospitals with this prestigious designation. The program provides a framework for the recognition of quality patient care, nursing leadership, and the effective management of the nursing practice environment.
