Conference Description:
This national
conference for leaders and stakeholders of state-based nursing
workforce centers focuses on measures to address long term
nursing workforce solutions at the grass roots level. Whether
you are from a newly minted workforce center or an established
center, the conference will enhance your ability to start and/or
sustain your operations. The fourth in the series of annual
conferences, this conference is geared toward data-based
evidence as the bases for policy formation and strategies to
engage politicians and funders in this important work.
Conference Objectives:
By the end of this conference participants will be able to:
1.
Network with key contacts around critical nursing workforce
challenges;
2.
Evaluate solutions to shared problems of establishing and
sustaining a nursing workforce center;
3.
Describe reliable methods to measure, monitor, and forecast
the supply and demand for nurses;
4.
Analyze different types of evidence that can serve as the
bases for reliable health policy;
5.
Examine the process of development of analytical policy
questions; and
6.
Explore funding opportunities at both the local and national
levels.
